Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi Assesses Operational Readiness in Bikaner and Forward Areas

General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), conducted a visit to forward areas, including the Bikaner Military Station, to evaluate the operational readiness and engage with troops, veterans, and local dignitaries.

Throughout his visit, General Dwivedi emphasized the Indian Army's commitment to modernization, combat readiness, and the integration of technology. He highlighted the importance of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and counter-UAS technologies in addressing the demands of future warfare.

The Army Chief honored veterans including Lt Col Hem Singh Shekhawat (Retd), Lt Col Birbal Bishnoi (Retd), Risaldar Bhanwar Singh (Retd), and Hav Nakat Singh (Retd) for their dedicated service to the nation. He engaged with personnel across ranks, praising their professionalism, resilience, and effective coordination in the challenging desert and semi-desert environments of Rajasthan.

Addressing the evolving security landscape, General Dwivedi underscored the importance of Military-Civil Fusion, collaboration between industry and academia, and adopting a Whole-of-Nation approach to bolster India's defense capabilities. He acknowledged the contributions of veterans and reiterated the Army's dedication to attaining technological superiority and dominance on the battlefield.
