Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra Assesses Operational Readiness at Northern Frontier Air Base
Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, serving as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Air Command, inspected a key air base located at the strategic frontier in the Northern Sector to assess its operational capabilities and infrastructure readiness.
Upon arrival, he was welcomed with a ceremonial Guard of Honour. He then proceeded to conduct a thorough evaluation of the base’s operational readiness, infrastructure, and mission capabilities.

During the visit, the Air Marshal awarded AOC-in-C Commendations to personnel from the civil police and the Border Security Force (BSF). These commendations were in recognition of their outstanding support to the air base during Operation Sindoor.

Additionally, Air Marshal Mishra visited Headquarters 15 Corps, where he received briefings about ongoing joint operations. These operations are carried out in close collaboration between the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force.

The Air Marshal praised all personnel for their unwavering spirit, dedication, and high professionalism, underscoring the necessity of joint efforts and coordinated operations for ensuring national security.
This visit underscored the Indian Air Force's commitment to maintaining operational excellence, enhancing inter-agency cooperation, and ensuring readiness in strategically sensitive regions.
