Air Marshal Garg Explores Modernization and Welfare Efforts at Air Force Station Prahladpur

Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg, AVSM, VSM, who currently serves as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Air Force Maintenance Command, made an official visit to the Air Force Station Prahladpur on August 29. He was accompanied by Mrs. Ritu Garg, the President of the Air Force Families Welfare Association (Regional).
Upon their arrival, the couple was welcomed by Group Captain Lokesh Kumar Mishra, VSM, the Station Commander, alongside Mrs. Richa Mishra, President of the AFFWA (Local).

In the course of the visit, Air Marshal Garg received a briefing on the key logistical functions of the station, which include managing avionics and ground support equipment. He took the opportunity to evaluate ongoing projects related to inductions, overhauls, and stockholding operations. His focus was on the adoption of strategies that would boost modernization, efficiency, and process improvement. Commending the depot personnel for their commitment, he highlighted their significant role in the Republic Day Parade tableaus, an effort he described as having both national and organizational importance.
At the same time, Mrs. Ritu Garg paid a visit to the Air Force School located at the Depot. There, she engaged with the Sanginis and encouraged them to take part in the welfare and skill development programs spearheaded by AFFWA. She reiterated the significance of unity, pointing out that AFFWA remains crucial in promoting solidarity, mutual support, and comprehensive welfare among the families of the Air Force.
