Air Marshal B Manikantan Assesses Kumaon Sector's Operational Readiness

Air Marshal B Manikantan, PVSM, AVSM, VM, who serves as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Air Command, embarked on a two-day tour to the forward areas in the Kumaon Sector. The purpose of this visit was to evaluate the operational readiness along the high-altitude Himalayan frontier.

Throughout his visit, Air Marshal Manikantan examined the measures in place for preparedness, the infrastructure available, and the mechanisms for coordination necessary for ongoing operations in the difficult terrain and extreme weather conditions. He engaged with personnel stationed at forward locations to gather firsthand understanding of the operational challenges and the levels of readiness.

In his observations, Air Marshal Manikantan praised the Panchshul Brigade for their professionalism, resilience, and constant vigilance in protecting the nation's borders.
