Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit Named Vice Chief of Indian Air Force, Effective July 2026
In a significant leadership change within the Indian Air Force, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, currently the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, has been named the next Vice Chief of the Air Staff. He is set to take over the position on July 1, 2026.

His notable career achievements include commanding a top Fighter Training Base in the Southern Sector, leading the Flight Test Squadron at the Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment in Bengaluru, and serving as the Director of Air Staff Requirements. Additionally, he was the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Central Air Command, and took charge as Chief of Integrated Defence Staff on May 1, 2025.
