AFTC Bengaluru Signs Three MoUs with DGAQA, HAL Management Academy and IIT Madras-Linked Foundation

Bengaluru’s Air Force Technical College (AFTC) has signed three Memoranda of Understanding with leading aeronautical, technical and research organisations, in a move aimed at strengthening its training infrastructure and expanding collaboration in advanced aviation technologies.

The agreements were concluded with the Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA), HAL Management Academy (HMA) and IIT Madras C-DOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation. According to the source, the partnerships are intended to bolster technical education and professional training within the Indian Air Force.

The MoUs were exchanged between the Commandant of Air Force Technical College and senior representatives of the three organisations. Those present included C Ramesh, Director General of DGAQA; Arup Kumar Mallick, Executive Director of HAL Management Academy; and Ravindra Barlingay, CEO of Samgnya Technologies Foundation.

The collaborations are expected to bring together the Indian Air Force, aeronautical institutions and the wider research ecosystem to encourage knowledge sharing, technical cooperation and the development of advanced training capabilities.

For AFTC, the partnerships are also expected to deepen institutional engagement with organisations working in aeronautical quality assurance, aerospace technology, professional development and research-led innovation. The college is expected to benefit from access to expertise across these areas as it looks to strengthen its training environment.

The agreements are also expected to create fresh opportunities for cooperation in technical education and training, helping the college enhance its capabilities in step with changing aviation and defence technology requirements.

The initiative reflects the Indian Air Force’s continued emphasis on strengthening technical expertise and building closer links between military training establishments, industry and academic research institutions.

Overall, the signing of the three MoUs represents a step in AFTC Bengaluru’s efforts to modernise its training ecosystem and prepare Air Force technical personnel for an increasingly technology-driven operational environment.
