Advanced Air Defence Training Initiated at AADC, Gopalpur
On November 12, 2025, the Army Air Defence College (AADC) in Gopalpur initiated the Advance Air Defence Course. This 13-week intensive program is aimed at equipping participants with advanced skills in operating Air Defence (AD) radars, guns, and sophisticated missile systems, ensuring the protection of Indian airspace with high precision.
Empowering Air Defence Professionals
The course gathers 25 officers from the Indian Army along with two officers from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs), specifically from Namibia and Nepal. It offers a comprehensive curriculum that blends classroom instruction with simulation-based training and field exercises to enhance the participants' capabilities in detecting, tracking, and neutralizing aerial threats in an ever-evolving battlespace.

Integrating Technology with Tactical Mastery
Emphasizing the tactical application of modern AD weapon systems, the training focuses on next-generation radar technologies, surface-to-air missile systems, and automated command and control networks.
