Admiral Krishna Swaminathan Engages with Central Command to Enhance Tri-Service Cooperation
On July 6, 2026, Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, Chief of the Naval Staff, paid a visit to the Headquarters of Central Command, known as Surya Command, in Lucknow. During his visit, he engaged in discussions with Lieutenant General Anindya Sengupta, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Central Command.
The discussions centered on boosting inter-service cooperation, progressing joint training programs, and enhancing integrated operational readiness. These efforts aim to tackle emerging security threats and adapt to the changing nature of modern warfare.

During the visit, Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta provided Admiral Swaminathan with a briefing on the Central Command's significant operational capabilities, transformation strategies, and ongoing initiatives to develop a force prepared for the future.
