Adani Defence Initiates ₹2,500 Crore Missile Manufacturing Facility in Madhya Pradesh
Adani Defence and Aerospace initiated the construction of a missile manufacturing facility valued at ₹2,500 crore in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, marking a significant advancement for India's indigenous defence manufacturing sector on July 6, 2026.
The event was officiated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who highlighted the project's importance as a pivotal step in the industrial and economic progression of the state.
As per the company's statement, the new facility aims to address a persistent gap in India's defence supply chain by combining missile system assembly with the production of vital components and materials. This development is anticipated to facilitate the Indian Armed Forces' adoption of domestically produced missile systems on a large scale, thereby boosting the nation's self-sufficiency in defence manufacturing.
During the ceremony, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized that the plant's establishment would bring significant investment to the area, generate numerous employment opportunities, and elevate Madhya Pradesh's status as a leading state in the defence manufacturing industry.
The facility is projected to play a crucial role in India's growing defence industrial infrastructure, aligning with the government's Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative by bolstering domestic capabilities in advanced missile technologies and strategic defence systems.
