93rd Indian Air Force Day Commemorated at Hindon: Emphasis on Operation Sindoor

The Indian Air Force (IAF) marked its 93rd anniversary with a grand celebration at Hindon Air Force Station, paying tribute to the bravery and commitment of its air warriors who protect the nation's airspace.
This year's event included a special homage to Operation Sindoor, a significant military operation that demonstrated the IAF’s precision, advanced technology, and strategic superiority.
The occasion was graced by Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh reviewed the ceremonial parade and praised the air warriors for their bravery and expertise during Operation Sindoor.
In his Special Order of the Day, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh remarked, “As we commemorate this day, we pay tribute to the valour, dedication and unwavering spirit of the Indian Air Force in safeguarding our nation's skies. Through Operation Sindoor, we reaffirmed the primacy of air power in shaping military outcomes.”
The Air Force Day celebration included an impressive march past, a display of advanced aircraft, and a flypast, all demonstrating India’s cutting-edge aerial capabilities. Observers witnessed the IAF’s operational preparedness and its capacity to achieve decisive results in various domains.
Initiated on May 7, 2025, Operation Sindoor was a precise, intelligence-led strike by the Indian armed forces in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. The mission targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and further into Pakistan, including the Nur Khan and Rahimyar Khan air bases.
The IAF's implementation of the Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS) for real-time coordination highlighted India's increasing expertise in network-centric warfare, reinforcing its status as one of the world's most powerful air forces.
As the IAF celebrates 93 remarkable years since its founding on October 8, 1932, the event at Hindon served as a tribute to its storied history and ongoing development as the protector of India’s skies.
