59 Officers Receive ‘Qualified Flying Instructor’ Badge at Tambaram Ceremony
The Flying Instructors' School at Air Force Station Tambaram hosted the valedictory ceremony for the 160th Qualified Flying Instructors’ Course (QFIC) on March 27, 2026. This event marked the completion of advanced flying training for officers hailing from both India and several allied foreign nations.
Air Marshal S Shrinivas, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Training Command, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest. He awarded the 'Qualified Flying Instructor' badge to 59 officers as a recognition of their achievement.

The course participants included officers from the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, and the Indian Army, showcasing the strong collaboration among India's military branches.
Moreover, officers from friendly foreign countries such as Nepal, Nigeria, Kenya, Bangladesh, Uganda, Sri Lanka, and South Africa also completed the course. This highlights India's expanding role in defense training cooperation and international military diplomacy.

The QFIC is renowned for providing seasoned pilots with advanced instructional skills, fostering their ability to educate future military aviators with accuracy and professionalism.
