1st BIHAR Emerges as Best in Unconventional Warfare Course at CIJWS Vairengte
The Unconventional Warfare Course at the Counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School (CIJWS) in Vairengte concluded on March 2, 2026, following a rigorous and operationally intensive training period.

This course placed significant focus on refining guerrilla tactics and adaptive combat techniques, as well as unconventional methods. It also involved the integration of advanced technologies to strengthen the effectiveness of the asymmetric grid in complex operational scenarios.

In his closing remarks, Major General Kulvir Singh, SM, Commandant of CIJWS, emphasized the ever-changing nature of modern warfare. He urged participants to embrace innovative, unconventional, and daring approaches to succeed in the multifaceted operations of today and the future.

The 1 BIHAR team was recognized for their outstanding teamwork, tactical expertise, and professionalism, earning them the title of the best team in the course.
