122 Medical and Dental Officers Graduate from AMC Centre and College
Lucknow, July 25, 2026: The Officers Training College at the Army Medical Corps (AMC) Centre and College hosted a ceremonial parade on July 25, 2026, to celebrate the completion of the Medical Officers Basic Course (MOBC)-258. This event marked the induction of a new cohort of military medical professionals into the Armed Forces.
A total of 122 Medical and Dental Officers, consisting of 36 women and five officers from Friendly Foreign Countries, participated in the parade. They marched in unison through the institution's portals, signifying the successful end of their training.
Major General Kanwarjit Singh, VSM, the Officiating Commandant of the AMC Centre and College, reviewed the parade. He inspected the officers and extended his congratulations for reaching this significant milestone in their military careers.
In his address, Maj Gen Kanwarjit Singh encouraged the newly commissioned officers to maintain the highest professionalism standards, emphasizing the importance of serving the nation with compassion and unwavering dedication. He highlighted the crucial role of military doctors and dentists in ensuring the health and combat readiness of soldiers, often under challenging operational conditions.
The MOBC-258 curriculum was tailored to meet the demands of modern warfare, focusing on developing operationally capable medical officers. Training included military ethos, expertise in Prolonged Combat Casualty Care (PCCC), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), equipping these officers with vital skills for providing life-saving care in battlefield scenarios.
The inclusion of officers from Friendly Foreign Countries highlighted the AMC Centre and College's expanding influence in fostering international military cooperation and strengthening defence relationships through professional education and medical training.
The ceremony was attended by the graduating officers' proud parents, family, and friends, who witnessed the culmination of their rigorous training. The presence of loved ones added to the significance of the occasion as these young officers begin their careers dedicated to serving the nation in peace, conflict, and humanitarian operations.
