Young Officers from AOC Centre Enhance Technical Skills at MCEME Visit

Fourteen Young Officers (YOs) participating in Regimental Orientation Training at the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Centre made a visit to the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) in Secunderabad as part of their professional development program. This initiative was designed to acquaint the officers with MCEME's significant role in advancing the Indian Army's technological capabilities and improving its operational readiness.
The visit began with an introductory session that emphasized MCEME's essential function in providing advanced technical training to officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), and technicians within the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME). The briefing also covered the institution's contributions to sustaining, innovating, and modernizing crucial operational resources.

Throughout the visit, the officers were exposed to state-of-the-art training techniques and observed demonstrations of various indigenisation projects. These initiatives are vital for maintaining and upgrading weapon systems, aviation platforms, electronic warfare apparatus, and communication technologies.

The focus was also directed towards logistics integration and support systems, highlighting how cohesive coordination between technology and logistics augments the Army's combat capabilities.

The interactions underscored the necessity of joint efforts, integration, and inter-service collaboration to address future battlefield challenges effectively.

This visit not only reinforced the professional connections between the EME and AOC but also deepened the understanding of the critical role that technology-driven sustainment plays in developing a more agile, adaptive, and future-ready military force.
