Western Command Hockey Team Wins Inter Command Hockey Championship 2026-27, Felicitated by Lt Gen Pushpendra Singh
The Indian Army’s Western Command Hockey Team has won the Inter Command Hockey Championship 2026-27, prompting Western Army Commander Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, AVSM, SM**, to felicitate the players and praise their performance, determination and teamwork.
Lt Gen Pushpendra Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Command, congratulated the team after the title win and commended the players for bringing the prestigious championship to the Command. According to Western Command, he described the victory as the result of sustained preparation and an unyielding will to succeed.
In his remarks, the Army Commander highlighted the team’s resilience throughout the competition and its refusal to give up until the final hooter. He said the triumph had been forged against the odds through relentless effort, discipline and a determined fight to the finish.
