Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan Explores Indian Navy's AI Innovations at Bengaluru Incubation Centre

On July 6, 2026, Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, made his initial visit to the Indian Navy Incubation Centre for Artificial Intelligence (INICAI) located in Bengaluru.

During his visit, Vice Admiral Vatsayan received a briefing on several indigenous applications of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technology tools developed at INICAI, which aim to strengthen the operational capacities and decision-making processes of the Indian Navy.

The initiatives presented at the center underscore the Indian Navy's ongoing commitment to leveraging artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and homegrown innovations to establish a technologically advanced maritime force that is prepared to address emerging operational challenges.

Accompanying Vice Admiral Vatsayan on this visit were Rear Admiral Vikram Menon, the Flag Officer of Karnataka Naval Area, and Commodore V. B. Bellary, the Station Commander in Bengaluru.
