Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla Assesses INS Kattabomman, Launches Strategic Facilities and Welfare Initiatives
Vice Admiral Sanjay Bhalla, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Naval Command, alongside Mrs. Priya Bhalla, President of the Naval Wives Welfare Association, Eastern Region, visited the strategically significant naval base, INS Kattabomman. The purpose of the visit was to examine the base's operational readiness and to inaugurate a series of new infrastructure and welfare projects.
During his assessment, Vice Admiral Bhalla conducted a thorough evaluation of the base's operational capabilities, focusing on its role in supporting the Indian Navy's communication and strategic objectives. Vice Admiral Bhalla also inaugurated a new Integrated Office Complex designed to streamline administrative operations, improve coordination, and enhance the naval establishment's overall efficiency. In another significant development focused on family welfare, Mrs. Priya Bhalla launched the Sunbeam Crèche, a specialized childcare center aimed at supporting naval families.
