UK Troops Arrive in India for 2025's Exercise Ajeya Warrior

A group from the United Kingdom Army has arrived in India to participate in the upcoming Exercise Ajeya Warrior 2025, marking another chapter in the ongoing defense collaboration between the two countries. Comprising 120 members of the 2 Royal Gurkha Rifles, the contingent landed at Air Force Station, Palam, on 15 November 2025, before heading to the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges where the exercise will take place.

Upon their arrival, the UK troops received a warm and traditional welcome from the Indian Army, represented by the esteemed SIKH Regiment. This reception underscored the mutual respect, camaraderie, and shared military values that form the foundation of the India–UK defense partnership.

Exercise Ajeya Warrior is set to begin on 17 November 2025, featuring joint training, tactical drills, field exercises, and the exchange of operational insights between soldiers of both nations. The exercise seeks to improve interoperability, refine coordination at the sub-unit level, and enhance combined operational efficiency, particularly in scenarios involving counter-insurgency and high-intensity combat.

Exercise Ajeya Warrior exemplifies the growing military cooperation between India and the United Kingdom, promoting professional excellence, mutual trust, and synergistic battlefield capabilities between their elite forces.
