Surgical Rear Admiral Dilip Raghavan Assumes Role of Command Medical Officer at Eastern Naval Command

Surg Rear Admiral Dilip Raghavan assumed the role of Command Medical Officer of the Eastern Naval Command on September 19, 2025. A graduate of the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, Raghavan was commissioned on December 26, 1989, and has since accrued over 30 years of distinguished service within the Indian Navy.
As a renowned ENT specialist, Surg RAdm Raghavan has received advanced post-doctoral training in Microsurgery and Cochlear Implant Surgery at the Madras ENT Research Foundation. His illustrious career includes notable positions such as the command of INHS Asvini, Commodore of the Armed Forces Medical Services at DGAFMS, and Professor & Head of the ENT Department at AFMC Pune.
Officials have expressed that under his leadership, the Eastern Naval Command's medical services are anticipated to enhance operational readiness, maintain clinical excellence, and provide robust healthcare support to naval personnel.
