RIMC Achieves 82% Success Rate in UPSC NDA (II) 2025 Written Exam, Demonstrating Premier Status

The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) in Dehradun, renowned as one of India's leading preparatory institutions for the Armed Forces, has once again demonstrated its excellence in the UPSC National Defence Academy (NDA) examination. In the NDA (II) 2025 written exam, 22 out of 27 RIMC cadets passed, achieving an impressive 82% success rate, which significantly exceeds the performance of other civil, military, or preparatory institutions nationwide.
This exceptional accomplishment underscores RIMC's century-old tradition of cultivating future military leaders through a steadfast commitment to academic rigor, discipline, and comprehensive development.
The outstanding results achieved by RIMC cadets highlight the institution's robust environment of mentorship, discipline, and motivation, strongly supported by the Indian Army and senior defense leadership. Recent visits from prominent figures such as the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and senior commanders from the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) have been instrumental in motivating the cadets. Through interactive sessions, these leaders have inspired students to strive for excellence and adhere to the values of military service.
These interactions have reinforced the cadets' dedication to joining the military and serving the nation's defense.
During their intensive training, RIMC cadets also visited leading defense academies, including the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune and the Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala. These educational tours offered crucial insights into the culture, discipline, and leadership standards of the Armed Forces, providing a clear perspective on the life and expectations of future officers.
Col Rahul Agarwal, Commandant of RIMC, congratulated the cadets and faculty for their dedication and hard work:
“At RIMC, we believe in nurturing not just academic excellence but also character, resilience, and leadership potential. The remarkable NDA results are a reflection of our cadets’ perseverance, the faculty’s mentorship, and an institutional ecosystem that prepares them for the highest levels of military leadership.”

He also discussed a strategic plan for future preparation, focusing on the SSB Interview stage to ensure ongoing success in upcoming selection phases.
Founded in 1922, RIMC has consistently been a premier institution producing officers who have served with distinction in the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Known for its comprehensive curriculum integrating academics, physical fitness, leadership training, and character development, RIMC continues to set the benchmark for military preparatory education in India.
With its latest outstanding performance in NDA (II) 2025, RIMC reaffirms its role as the top feeder institution for the Armed Forces, dedicated to developing the future leaders tasked with safeguarding the nation.
