Regimental Signaller Officers Course Concludes with Captain Jatin Garg Recognized as Best Student
The Regimental Signaller Officers Course at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE) in Mhow concluded on February 23, 2026. This marked the end of an intensive training program aimed at enhancing tactical communication and signalling capabilities at the battalion level.
Officers from the Indian Army, along with those from countries such as Mauritius, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mongolia, Namibia, and Sri Lanka, participated in this prestigious course. The presence of international officers highlighted India's dedication to fostering defense cooperation and professional military education partnerships with allied nations.

The course curriculum was structured to improve skills in Battalion Level Signalling, Tactical Communication systems, Signal-Oriented Tactics, and emerging technologies relevant to modern network-centric operations. It combined classroom teaching, simulation-based learning, and field exercises to ensure the integration of communication systems with operational battlefield strategies.
In the context of modern warfare, which requires secure and adaptable communication networks, the MCTE training aimed to provide officers with the necessary technical and operational expertise. This ensures they can maintain continuous command and control during operational scenarios, including those involving high-intensity and electronic warfare.

At the closing ceremony, Major General Gautam Mahajan, SM, Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor of MCTE, addressed the attendees. He congratulated the officers on completing the challenging course and emphasized the crucial role of Signaller Officers in ensuring effective decision-making and mission success through reliable communication networks.
During the ceremony, individuals who performed exceptionally were recognized. Captain Jatin Garg received the 'Best Student' award for his outstanding performance in academic, practical, and leadership areas.

The successful completion of the Regimental Signaller Officers Course underscores MCTE's reputation as the leading institution for telecommunication engineering and signal training within the Indian Army. By training both Indian and international officers, the institution continues to enhance interoperability, strengthen military alliances, and prepare signallers for the technological and operational challenges of future warfare.
