Prithviraj Platoon Clinches Victory in MCEME Gladiator Competition; Shivam Yadav Named ‘Gladiator of the Course’

The Inter Platoon Gladiator Competition for the Spring Term of 2026 took place at MCEME Secunderabad, offering a platform for Officer Cadets to demonstrate their endurance, combat skills, and mental resilience.

The competition was marked by a series of rigorous activities designed to test multiple domains. Cadets engaged in a 19 km endurance run, firing drills, swimming events, and a challenging battle obstacle course, assessing their determination, stamina, and mental strength.

Recognition was given to the top achievers of the event. Prithviraj Platoon claimed the title of overall winners, while WCQM Shivam Yadav received the honor of being named 'Gladiator of the Course'.

In a separate event, the Inter Platoon Novices Cross-Country saw enthusiastic participation from TES-54 cadets. Chandragupt Platoon, known as the Cheetahs, secured the championship position, with OC Gurdeep Singh taking home the Gold medal.

Lieutenant General Neeraj Varshney, Commandant of MCEME and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, officiated at the awards ceremony by presenting trophies and honoring the winners.

The competition underscores the Indian Army's focus on nurturing officers who are not only physically robust but also mentally tough and ready for combat challenges.
