President Droupadi Murmu Addresses IPS Probationers of 77 RR Batch at Rashtrapati Bhavan
Probationary officers from the Indian Police Service, part of the 77th RR (2024 batch), met with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The session underscored the significant responsibility that these emerging police officers bear in crafting a safer and more progressive nation.
During her address to the probationers, President Murmu pointed out that while police officers gain their authority from legal frameworks, their genuine power is rooted in their personal and professional integrity. She highlighted that integrity, empathy, and a dedication to duty are essential components of effective policing within a democratic environment.
President Murmu also mentioned that a police force prepared for the future, which is enhanced by technology, led by ethics, and motivated by public service, will be instrumental in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat. She urged the young officers to welcome innovation, uphold justice, and ensure public trust through transparency and accountability.
