OTA Chennai Cadets Enhance Military Intelligence Skills during Visit to Training School

On December 24, 2025, a group of 90 Officer Cadets, including one international participant, from the Officers Training Academy in Chennai visited the Military Intelligence Training School and Depot (MINTSD). This visit was part of their professional exposure and military familiarisation program.

The Cadet Officers were afforded a significant opportunity to understand the vital role played by the Intelligence Arm in contemporary military operations. Through interactive sessions and demonstrations, they were introduced to the responsibilities, capabilities, and importance of Military Intelligence in both peacetime and wartime scenarios.

During the visit, the cadets gained comprehensive insights into the operations of Military Intelligence, covering aspects such as intelligence gathering, analysis, dissemination, and its integration into operational planning and decision-making processes. The interaction highlighted the importance of timely and precise intelligence for the success of missions and protection of forces.

The visit to MINTSD underscored the Indian Army's commitment to comprehensive officer training, ensuring that emerging leaders are informed about the roles of various arms and services, thereby enhancing their readiness to operate in complex and intelligence-driven environments.
