NDA Cadets Engage with Army Aviation Operations in Insightful CAATS Visit
On March 20, 2026, cadets from the National Defence Academy (NDA) had the opportunity to visit the Combat Army Aviation Training School (CAATS), where they gained crucial insights into the operations of Army Aviation.

During their visit, the cadets received a briefing that covered the tactical role of Army Aviation within the battlespace. They were also given an overview of the aviation training that takes place at CAATS.

Part of the program included a static display featuring helicopters, RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems), and drones. This was followed by an aerial demonstration showcasing helicopter manoeuvres, designed to highlight the Army Aviation Corps' operational capabilities.

This exposure provided the cadets with a comprehensive understanding of technology-driven warfare and air mobility operations. It served to inspire them as future leaders and potential contributors to these fields.
The initiative underlines the Indian Army's commitment to introducing cadets to advanced operational areas, thereby encouraging an interest in aviation roles.
