Miss Universe India 2025, Ex-NCC Cadet Manika Vishwakarma, Inspires at Republic Day Camp
At the Republic Day Camp, cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) received a unique source of inspiration from Ms. Manika Vishwakarma, Miss Universe India 2025, who visited the camp. Ms. Vishwakarma, a former NCC cadet herself, engaged with young cadets hailing from various parts of the country.
Ms. Vishwakarma recounted her transformation from an NCC cadet to the titleholder of Miss Universe India, highlighting the role her early cadet experiences played in her development. She attributed her success to the core values instilled by NCC, such as discipline, confidence, leadership, resilience, and a sense of responsibility, which she believes were crucial to her personal and professional growth.

While speaking to the cadets, Ms. Vishwakarma stressed that NCC training extends beyond routine drills and parades, as it fosters character building, self-confidence, and a determined approach to challenges. She urged cadets to stay dedicated to their ambitions and leverage the opportunities offered by NCC, which prepares individuals for success across various fields and not solely within the armed forces.
The cadets found her visit highly motivating, describing it as both inspiring and relatable. Her experiences served as a compelling demonstration of how NCC training can underpin excellence, leadership, and achievement in any career path chosen.
The visit underscored the NCC’s significant contribution to nation-building by developing confident, capable, and resilient young individuals ready to make meaningful societal contributions.
