Military College of Materials Management Celebrates Centennial Achievements in Defence Logistics

Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff at the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, visited the Military College of Materials Management (MCMM) to honor its 100-year legacy in enhancing India's logistics strategies and capabilities.

In his speech, Air Marshal Dixit highlighted the evolution of logistics, describing it as a fundamental component of operational strategy in contemporary, multi-domain warfare.

He referenced Operation Sindoor to underscore the necessity of integrated logistics and combined service coordination for achieving strategic battlefield success.

During his visit, Air Marshal Dixit was briefed on the college’s cutting-edge initiatives in training, digitisation, and technological advancement, affirming its status as a leading centre for defence logistics excellence.

He also assessed the college’s sustained contributions to developing a comprehensive logistics system that meets India's changing military needs.

To mark the centennial occasion, Air Marshal Dixit unveiled a First Day Cover and praised the faculty and staff for their steadfast commitment.

He acknowledged MCMM’s pivotal role in advancing logistics transformation, aligning with international standards and national goals, to ensure the Indian Armed Forces are agile, resilient, and prepared for future challenges in a rapidly changing strategic environment.
