Manipur Wreath Laying Ceremony Honors Assam Rifles Heroes Naib Subedar Shyam Gurung and Rifleman Ranjit Singh Kashyap
A wreath-laying ceremony was held to honor Naib Subedar Shyam Gurung and Rifleman Ranjit Singh Kashyap of the Assam Rifles, who lost their lives in the line of duty on September 19, 2025.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the Hon’ble Governor of Manipur, Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Lieutenant General R C Tiwari, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, and Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding, Spear Corps. They laid wreaths and offered tributes to the brave soldiers for their exceptional bravery and commitment to duty.
Alongside senior officers and troops from the Assam Rifles, the families of the fallen soldiers were also present to honor their loved ones' steadfast dedication and sacrifice.
The ceremony underscored the profound sense of duty and selflessness exhibited by India's soldiers, who continue to protect the nation at significant personal risk.
