Major Suyash Malviya Takes Charge as ADC to Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria

Major Suyash Malviya of the Indian Army’s 47 Armoured Regiment has been appointed as Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, with the formal ceremony held at Punjab Lok Bhawan in Chandigarh on Monday.

During the event, Governor Kataria presented Major Malviya with the badge and formation sign linked to his new role, formally marking the beginning of his responsibilities as ADC. The appointment places him in a key support position within the Governor’s office, where he will assist with official engagements, ceremonial duties and coordination work.

Governor Kataria also conveyed his best wishes to Major Malviya for a successful tenure, asking him to carry forward the Indian Army’s traditions of discipline, professionalism and service in the execution of his duties.

As per the established practice, Aides-de-Camp serve as military aides to constitutional authorities, a role that reflects the Indian Armed Forces’ continuing association with ceremonial and official functions at the highest levels of governance.
