Maj Gen Sukhbir Singh Chopra Takes Charge as Commandant and Dental Advisor at CMDC (CC)
Major General Sukhbir Singh Chopra has been appointed as the Commandant of the Command Military Dental Centre (Central Command), or CMDC (CC), and Command Dental Advisor, following his recent promotion. This marks another significant step in his illustrious career within the Armed Forces Medical Services.
Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), extended congratulations to Maj Gen Chopra on his new appointment and wished him success in his forthcoming duties.
Maj Gen Chopra is a renowned orthodontist nationally, boasting over 30 years of commendable service in the Armed Forces. His career includes stints with both the Indian Navy and the Indian Army, where he gained extensive expertise in clinical dentistry, academics, administration, and leadership.
As an orthodontics specialist, Maj Gen Chopra has made considerable contributions to military dental healthcare. He has occupied various significant academic and clinical positions, focusing on treating complex dental and orthodontic cases and overseeing the training and development of dental officers.
In addition to his clinical roles, he has held key administrative positions, providing him with invaluable experience in managing dental healthcare facilities and ensuring the delivery of specialized dental services to Armed Forces personnel and their families.
As the new Commandant of CMDC (CC), Maj Gen Chopra will lead one of the Central Command's vital dental facilities.
