Maj Gen D R Rai Leads Career Guidance Session for NDA Aspirants at Sainik School Amethi

On May 17, Major General D R Rai, SM, VSM, who serves as the Commandant of Selection Centre East, paid a visit to Sainik School Amethi. His visit marked the first career guidance session for the school's inaugural group of National Defence Academy (NDA) candidates.

In his address to the students of Classes XI and XII, the General Officer provided valuable advice on career paths within the Armed Forces. He discussed preparation methods for the NDA written exam and offered insights into the process of the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.

Throughout the interactive session, Maj Gen Rai stressed the significance of maintaining discipline, being determined, and possessing self-motivation and strong moral principles for success in both military endeavors and personal growth.

He advised students to adhere to a disciplined daily schedule, develop leadership skills, and embrace Indian values as they prepare themselves for roles in national service.

Additionally, the General Officer inspired the young candidates to play a significant role in nation-building efforts and to become the future leaders of the country by committing to integrity, dedication, and service to the nation.

The session underscored the ongoing efforts by the Indian Army and Sainik Schools in developing future military leaders and motivating the youth to pursue careers in the Armed Forces.
