Lt Gen Virendra Vats and Ladakh LG Discuss Enhancements to NCC Programs

Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, bearing the titles YSM, SM, and VSM, along with being the Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), visited with Major General Anupinder Bevli, VSM, who serves as the Additional Director General of the NCC Directorate for Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh. They met with the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena.

The meeting centered around discussions aimed at broadening the NCC's reach, enhancing youth involvement, and reinforcing initiatives for cadet development throughout the Union Territory.

Both parties emphasized a mutual commitment to empowering the youth through the NCC framework, focusing on leadership, discipline, character-building, and nation-building programs.

Officials remarked that this exchange reinforced the essential role of the National Cadet Corps in molding responsible, driven, and socially conscious citizens, while also expanding avenues for youth engagement in regions like Ladakh, which hold strategic importance.

The discussions also focused on continuing to enhance institutional backing, training facilities, and development opportunities for NCC cadets throughout the Union Territory.
