Lt Gen Rajiv Kumar Sahni Takes Charge as DG of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers

Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni has officially taken on the role of Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DG EME) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME.

At a ceremony held at the National War Memorial in New Delhi, Lt Gen Sahni paid tribute to the Bravehearts who sacrificed their lives for the nation by laying a wreath in their honor.

Upon assuming his new responsibilities, Lt Gen Sahni urged the Corps to spearhead innovative and technologically driven initiatives aimed at enhancing the Indian Army's operational readiness. He emphasized the significant role played by the Corps of EME in advancing technological capabilities throughout the army.

The Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers is often regarded as the technological backbone of the army. It is tasked with maintaining battle readiness through the upkeep of equipment, fostering innovation, and integrating advanced technologies into military operations.
