Lt Gen Prasanna Kishore Mishra Reviews Operational Readiness in Poonch Sector Forward Areas
Lieutenant General Prasanna Kishore Mishra AVSM, YSM, SM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of White Knight Corps, visited forward areas in the Poonch Sector along with the GOC of Ace of Spades Division to review operational preparedness and take stock of the security situation on the frontline.
The visit focused on assessing how formations deployed in the sector are positioned to respond to the evolving operational environment in the challenging terrain of Poonch. During the tour, the Corps Commander interacted with troops and other stakeholders in the forward areas, and reviewed the prevailing operational conditions as well as the preparedness measures already in place.
According to the account of the visit, Lt Gen Mishra appreciated the high morale, professionalism and operational readiness displayed by the personnel on ground. He also acknowledged the dedication and commitment shown by troops in maintaining vigilance and safeguarding the area.
During his interactions with the deployed personnel, the Corps Commander stressed the need to maintain high standards of operational preparedness and remain responsive to emerging security challenges. He called on the formations to keep strengthening their capabilities so they can stay ready for the changing demands of the operational environment.
The visit also highlighted the importance of sustained vigilance and close coordination among personnel and stakeholders operating in the forward areas. Lt Gen Mishra encouraged all ranks to continue carrying out their duties with professionalism, discipline and dedication, while adapting continuously to shifting operational requirements.
He further emphasised the role of realistic training, capability development and effective use of available resources in improving preparedness. The interactions in the Poonch Sector reinforced the need for formations to remain agile and responsive as conditions along the frontline evolve.
