Lt Gen Neeraj Shukla Visits Tamulpur Military Station, Celebrates Innovators and Achievers

Lieutenant General Neeraj Shukla, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps, visited Tamulpur Military Station and used the interaction to stress that military formations must stay agile, adaptable and innovation-driven as modern warfare continues to change rapidly.

During the visit, the Corps Commander reviewed the formation’s professional efforts and highlighted the need to keep training, operational concepts and capabilities aligned with emerging battlefield challenges. His remarks reflected the growing reality that military preparedness can no longer be built around conventional threats alone.

Lt Gen Shukla noted that technological change is transforming the conduct of military operations at a pace that demands constant adjustment from units in the field. Contemporary battlefields are increasingly shaped by the use of unmanned aerial systems, counter-drone technologies, electronic warfare, advanced surveillance systems, precision weapons and network-enabled capabilities.

In that environment, formations need to continually assess new threats and develop solutions that fit their operational needs. The ability to absorb technology quickly and convert new ideas into practical battlefield capability, he indicated, can have a direct bearing on operational effectiveness.
