Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Evaluates Shahbaz Division's Journey Toward a Modernized, Future-Ready Force
Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, who leads the Southern Command as General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, made a visit to the Shahbaz Division to assess the unit's readiness for operations, its modern capabilities in warfare, and its ongoing efforts to integrate new technologies.

During his visit, Lt Gen Seth was informed about the formation's strategic shift towards becoming a future-ready force. This transition is being facilitated by the deployment of New Generation Equipment (NGE), a comprehensive drone network, increased automation, and the incorporation of artificial intelligence. The review also showcased the use of loitering munitions and highlighted indigenous innovations such as mobile unmanned aerial system (UAS) fabrication and repair vehicles, which are crucial for supporting operations at high speeds.

The Army Commander observed live demonstrations of precision munition deployment using platforms developed in-house. These demonstrations emphasized the enhanced capability for battlefield dominance through remote lethality and improved readiness to address new threats in the landscape of modern warfare.

Lt Gen Seth praised the formation for its innovative approach and its strides towards achieving self-reliance and rapid technological advancement as part of the Indian Army's transformation strategy. He stressed the importance of converting technological achievements into effective combat capabilities to ensure continued operational superiority in future conflict situations.
