Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth Engages with Algerian Delegation to Enhance India-Algeria Defence Cooperation

A delegation of 28 officers from the War High College, Tamentfoust visited the Headquarters Southern Command, where they engaged in discussions with Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command.

The meeting was aimed at bolstering defence cooperation between India and Algeria, exploring potential areas for military exchanges, and enhancing collaboration in professional military education. The discussions emphasized the possibilities for more profound institutional partnerships and the sharing of experiences between the two military forces.

During their visit, the delegation received a briefing on the core values of the Indian Army, which are based on honour, duty, and valour, as well as the diverse operational environment of the Southern Command. Presentations highlighted various activities, including nation-building efforts, Military–Civil Fusion, and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief operations, which align with India's broader national goals.

This interaction underscored the mutual commitment of the Indian Army and the Algerian Armed Forces to enhance defence ties and foster cooperation through ongoing professional engagement and mutual understanding.
