Lt Gen C G Muralidharan Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Neonatal ICU at Delhi Cantt Base Hospital
On December 29, Lt Gen C G Muralidharan, the Director General of Medical Services (Army), visited Base Hospital in Delhi Cantt to officially open a newly renovated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), signaling a major advancement in neonatal healthcare services.

The upgraded NICU now features cutting-edge medical technology and advanced life-support systems designed to provide specialized care for newborns in critical condition. This facility is anticipated to greatly enhance clinical results and expand the capabilities of neonatal care within the Armed Forces medical system.
During his visit, Lt Gen Muralidharan engaged with officers, nursing officers, and Junior Commissioned Officers/Other Ranks (JCOs/ORs), praising the hospital staff for their unity, professionalism, and collaborative efforts. He commended their dedication to maintaining high standards of patient care.

The Director General also examined the Key Location Plan (KLP) for the upcoming new hospital project, evaluating its progress, infrastructure development, and timeline for implementation. He also assessed the operational readiness of various units and facilities within the hospital.
This visit reinforced the Armed Forces Medical Services' (AFMS) dedication to delivering quality healthcare, modernizing technology, and building future capacity to ensure world-class medical support for service members, veterans, and their families.
