Lt Gen Amit Kabthiyal Inspects Sainik School Kapurthala, Honors Martyrs
Lieutenant General Amit Kabthiyal, YSM, SM**, General Officer Commanding of the 11 Corps, conducted an inspection of Sainik School Kapurthala to evaluate the institution's operations and engage with its leadership team.
The visit began with Lt Gen Kabthiyal paying tribute at the school's 'Smriti Sthal', a memorial honoring soldiers and alumni who have sacrificed their lives for the country. He bowed in respect, acknowledging the courage and dedication of the martyrs who have played pivotal roles in safeguarding India's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

This solemn ceremony highlighted the Indian Army's longstanding tradition of honoring its fallen heroes. The Smriti Sthal stands as a testament to these sacrifices, inspiring the cadets of Sainik School Kapurthala, many of whom aim to join the Armed Forces.
During his inspection, the Corps Commander assessed the institution's academic standards, training quality, and cadet development programs. He was briefed on the school's initiatives to foster leadership, discipline, character, and physical fitness among students to prepare them for careers in the Armed Forces and other national service sectors.

Lt Gen Kabthiyal also met with school administrators, faculty, and cadets, commending their dedication to maintaining Sainik Schools' high standards. He urged cadets to stay focused on their objectives, uphold the values of integrity, discipline, and patriotism, and pursue excellence in all aspects of life.
Emphasizing the significant contribution of Sainik Schools to nation-building, the GOC noted their role in producing generations of distinguished officers and leaders. He stressed the importance of these institutions in instilling values of selfless service, courage, and leadership in young students.

The visit underscored the strong ties between the Indian Army and Sainik Schools, emphasizing their joint commitment to cultivating future military leaders with strong moral values, professional competence, and an unwavering dedication to national service.
