Lt Col (Retd) Rajveer Chauhan served the Indian Army for 15 years with distinction before moving to civil aviation. He joined Aryan Aviation Pvt. Ltd. in October 2024 and had logged over 2,000 flying hours. In response to the crash, the Uttarakhand government suspended all helicopter operations on the Char Dham Yatra route for two days as a safety measure while a high-level investigation into the cause of the crash has been initiated.
