Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh Highlights Soldier Innovations at Innoयोद्धा 2025 in New Delhi

Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh, the Vice Chief of the Army Staff, spearheaded the Indian Army’s premier Idea and Innovation Competition, Innoयोद्धा 2025, at the Manekshaw Centre. This event showcased the leading innovations developed by soldiers throughout the Army.

During the event, the Vice Chief honored the top 32 innovators, commending their dedication and creativity in addressing real-world operational challenges. He highlighted that the event’s core aim is to acknowledge soldiers who leverage their frontline experience to devise effective, practical solutions.

In his speech, Lieutenant General Singh stressed that soldiers on the ground possess a unique understanding of battlefield situations. This insight enables them to swiftly identify problems and design solutions that are both mission-focused and technically viable.

This year, a total of 89 innovations were submitted by personnel from various branches of service. These submissions underwent a thorough evaluation process to ensure that only the most practical and field-ready ideas were selected for the final presentation.

The top 32 innovations presented at Innoयोद्धा 2025 are set to be developed further by the Army Design Bureau. These solutions are expected to enhance operational capabilities, logistical efficiency, and training protocols across various field units.

A significant feature of the event was the unveiling of the Compendium of Ideas & Innovation 2025–26, which captures new concepts, technologies, and prototypes crafted by the Army. This publication underscores the growing culture of innovation among military personnel.

The event also marked the formalisation of Technology Transfer for two significant innovations, representing a further step in strengthening cooperation between the Indian Army and the domestic defence sector to boost indigenisation efforts.

Innoयोद्धा 2025 reinforced the Army’s dedication to fostering local talent, encouraging in-house innovation, and ensuring readiness for future challenges. The event highlighted the role of soldier-led initiatives in driving self-reliance and operational excellence within the Indian Army.
