Indian Army Soldier Killed in Accidental Discharge of Rifle in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri

An Indian Army soldier tragically lost his life in an accidental shooting in the Dharamsal area of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. The victim, identified as Naik Uppala Ravi Kumar, hailed from Andhra Pradesh and was serving with the 54 Rashtriya Rifles when the incident occurred.

Reports indicate that the mishap happened as the soldier's service weapon discharged unintentionally during his duty. The bullet caused severe injuries, leaving little opportunity for medical intervention. His fellow soldiers quickly responded and transported him to the nearest medical facility. Despite swift action from medical staff, the injuries proved fatal, and he was declared dead shortly after arrival.
