This course is an opportunity for engineering graduates to join the Indian Army as commissioned officers. Candidates who meet the cutoff will advance to the next stage of the selection process, the SSB Interview.
The cutoff marks for different engineering streams have been released. These marks determine the eligibility of candidates to be shortlisted for the course. Below is the comprehensive list of cutoff percentages:
| S. No. | Engineering Stream | Cut Off % |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Civil | 71% |
| 2 | Computer Science | 87% |
| 3 | Electrical | 82% |
| 4 | Electronics | 79% |
| 5 | Mechanical | 80% |

The eligibility criteria for cutoff marks are defined for different groups of candidates. For those who have completed their degrees, cumulative marks up to the final semester or year are considered. Final year or semester candidates are assessed based on their cumulative marks up to the 6th semester for engineering streams, up to the 8th semester for architecture, and up to the 2nd semester for M.Sc streams in notified fields.
Candidates who qualify with the cutoff marks have been shortlisted for the SSB Interview. The Date Selection Link will soon be accessible, allowing these candidates to select their interview schedule. It is important to log into the official Indian Army portal to choose and confirm interview slots.
Meeting the cutoff marks is not a guarantee of final selection. Candidates must also excel in the SSB interview and pass subsequent medical examinations. The cutoff percentages are fixed and are the main criteria for shortlisting.
Selected candidates will be invited for the SSB interview at designated centers.
The Technical Graduate Course is a respected entry path for engineering graduates aspiring to become officers in the Indian Army. It provides a chance to serve the nation, leveraging technical skills acquired through academic pursuits.
Candidates are encouraged to prepare for the SSB interview by enhancing their mental, physical, and personality attributes. This is a crucial step toward building a fulfilling career in the Indian Army.
Further updates on the TGC-143 course and the SSB process will be communicated. Best wishes to all candidates aiming for this prestigious opportunity.
