Indian Army Recognizes Veteran Excellence with Prestigious Achievers Award

On October 1, 2025, the Chief of Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, honored Colonel Shagun Bhatnagar (Retd), Major Aditya Vikram Singh (Retd), Lance Naik Sodha Dipubha Ratanji (Retd), and Naik Bharat Bhai J Suthar (Retd) with the esteemed Veteran Achievers Award in Bhuj. This recognition highlights their significant contributions to nation-building and their ongoing dedication to service even after leaving active military duty.
The award acknowledges veterans who showcase outstanding dedication, leadership, and commitment across various sectors, reflecting the values of the Indian Army while serving the nation in different roles.
Colonel Shagun Bhatnagar (Retd) has been pivotal in enhancing the welfare of the veteran community in Kutch district. He has actively participated in operational and training activities, such as the Multi-Modal Adventure Expedition, and has bolstered civil-military relations through effective outreach programs in educational institutions and local communities.

Major Aditya Vikram Singh (Retd) currently holds the position of DGM (HR & Admin) at Adani Green RE Park. During Operation Sindoor, he provided essential engineering and logistical support, facilitating the successful deployment of troops in the Rann. His post-retirement career continues to reflect his lasting leadership and dedication to national service.
Naik Bharat Bhai J Suthar (Retd) serves as the Secretary of the Kutch Ex-Servicemen Association, playing a crucial role in rallying veteran participation in events and outreach activities while addressing critical welfare issues affecting the veteran community.

Lance Naik Sodha Dipubha Ratanji (Retd) displayed exceptional dedication to disaster management during recent monsoon floods, ensuring the safety of both people and livestock. He also contributed significantly to the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) for eligible families.
These honored veterans embody the Army's enduring values of discipline, leadership, and selfless service. Through the Veteran Achievers Award, the Indian Army honors their steadfast commitment, resilience, and enduring contributions to society, demonstrating that the spirit of service remains strong well beyond active military duty.
