Indian Army Opens SSB Centre and Date Selection for NCC 125th Course Shortlisted Candidates
New Delhi, October 15, 2026: The Indian Army has begun the next stage of recruitment under the NCC Special Entry Scheme 125th Course (April 2027), announcing the shortlist of candidates for Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews for Short Service Commission (Women), including wards of battle casualties of Army personnel.
According to an official notification on the Join Indian Army website, the application screening has been completed in line with the policy laid out in Paragraph 10(a) of the course notification. The Army said the shortlisting was done at a vacancy-to-SSB call-up ratio of 1:100.
With the shortlist now finalised, the Army has activated the SSB Centre and Date Selection link for eligible candidates. Those shortlisted can log in to their profiles on the official Join Indian Army portal and choose their preferred SSB interview centre and date.
The selection window opened on October 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM and will close on October 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The Army has advised candidates to complete the process within this period so they do not miss the chance to secure their preferred interview schedule.
The NCC Special Entry Scheme is intended for eligible NCC candidates seeking commission in the Indian Army through the Short Service Commission route. Candidates selected for the current course will next have to clear the SSB interview, which forms part of the officer selection process.
Shortlisted candidates have been asked to visit https://joinindianarmy.nic.in, log in with their registered credentials and open the SSB Centre and Date Selection link under the NCC Special Entry 125th Course section. They can then pick from the available interview centres and dates offered on the portal.
The Army has also asked candidates to keep checking their registered profiles on the Join Indian Army website for further instructions and updates related to their SSB interviews.
