Indian Air Force's Training Command Honored with Gold Rajbhasha Shield for Official Language Excellence
The Training Command of the Indian Air Force has been honored with the Gold Rajbhasha Shield for 2025 in the Inter-Command Rajbhasha Shield Competition, recognizing its exceptional efforts in implementing and promoting the Official Language.
Air Marshal S Srinivas, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Headquarters Training Command, received the award from Air Chief Marshal AP Singh at the Commanders’ Conference at Air Headquarters on May 22, 2026.
The Inter-Command Rajbhasha Shield Competition is an annual event organized by Air Headquarters to promote the effective use and promotion of Hindi in official work within the various commands of the Indian Air Force.
This top accolade was awarded to the Training Command for its outstanding efforts in implementing Rajbhasha policies, promoting Hindi in administrative and operational tasks, and enhancing linguistic integration within the organization.
Officials noted that this achievement demonstrates the command's ongoing commitment to advancing the objectives of the Official Language Policy while maintaining excellent communication and administrative practices.
The award underscores the Indian Air Force’s dedication to promoting the use of Hindi in official operations and bolstering the implementation of Rajbhasha across all levels of the service.
