Indian Air Force Marks 94th Anniversary at Jalahalli, Led by Air Marshal S Shrinivas

The Indian Air Force marked its 94th anniversary with a gathering at TMOI, Air Force Station Jalahalli, on 8 October 2026, bringing together serving officers, veterans and their families for an occasion centred on the service’s history, achievements and collective identity.

The celebration served as a reunion for the Air Force community, offering space to recognise the contributions of personnel across generations and to honour the dedication that has defined the service over the decades. The event also paid tribute to the valour, legacy and commitment of Air Warriors who have served the nation.

The evening was hosted by Air Marshal S Shrinivas, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Training Command, along with Mrs Sunita Shrinivas, President of the Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFFWA), Regional. Their presence set the tone for the celebration, which brought together serving personnel, veterans and family members in a shared occasion for the Indian Air Force fraternity.

Participation from both serving and retired officers highlighted the continuity of service within the Air Force and the enduring ties that connect generations of personnel. The gathering recognised their collective contribution and also reflected the traditions, camaraderie and values that remain central to the force’s community life.

The celebrations also acknowledged the role of families in the lives of serving personnel and veterans. Their presence added to the sense of togetherness at the event and reflected the wider community that supports the Indian Air Force.

As the 94th anniversary drew to a close, the gathering remained focused on the service’s shared heritage and the dedication of its Air Warriors. The occasion concluded with the Air Force motto, “Touch the Sky with Glory,” a phrase that continues to define the aspiration and spirit associated with the force.
