Indian Air Force Hosts Veteran Outreach Programme in Srinagar to Support Veterans and Veer Naris

An Air Veteran Outreach Programme was organised at the Zila Sainik Board in Srinagar by Air Force Station Srinagar in partnership with the Directorate of Air Veterans, Air Headquarters. The event saw active participation from Air Veterans and Veer Naris.

The initiative was designed to enhance engagement with the veteran community, focusing on addressing significant welfare issues. Officials underscored the Directorate of Air Veterans' efforts in crafting and executing welfare policies, managing pension systems like SPARSH, ensuring complaints are addressed promptly, and maintaining regular outreach activities for veterans.

During the event, Veer Naris were honoured for their sacrifices and strength. Additionally, a SPARSH help desk was established to provide immediate solutions for pension-related queries, offering direct support and advice to veterans and their families.

The programme underscored the Indian Air Force’s steadfast commitment to the dignity, welfare, and well-being of its veterans, demonstrating a firm resolve to support those who have served the nation with honor.
