Gurugram DM Enforces Prohibitory Orders for CDS, NDA & NA Exams 2025

The District Magistrate of Gurugram has implemented strict prohibitory orders to ensure the seamless administration of the CDS-II and NDA & NA (II) Examinations 2025. These examinations, organized by UPSC, are scheduled to take place throughout the district on September 14, 2025.

Invoking powers under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, District Magistrate Ajay Kumar, IAS, has instituted a ban on unauthorized activities around examination venues. Specifically, the order prohibits the presence of unauthorized individuals within a 200-metre radius of the exam centers, the operation of photostat machines and copying devices during exam hours, and the carrying of firearms, as well as the raising of slogans or display of placards in these areas.
These restrictions will be in effect from September 13 and will continue throughout the duration of the examinations.
To ensure compliance, the order will be disseminated through announcements, publicity vans, and notices in local newspapers. The enforcement will be overseen by the Gurugram Police, under the guidance of the Commissioner of Police. Anyone found violating these orders will be subject to prosecution under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, along with other relevant legal provisions.
The National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA) examinations, conducted biannually by UPSC, serve to recruit candidates for various branches of the military, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Similarly, the Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam, also held twice a year, selects officers for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy, and Officers Training Academy (OTA). Both examination processes involve a written test, a subsequent SSB interview, and a medical evaluation.
