DGAFMS Hosts Farewell Interaction for AMC Officers Retiring January 2026
Today, a meeting was held for Army Medical Corps officers set to retire on January 21, 2026, chaired by Arti Sarin, the Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services.
During this session, nine officers who are concluding their nearly three-decade-long careers in the Armed Forces Medical Services shared their experiences. They offered reflections, insights, and lessons learned aimed at enhancing the operational, academic, and leadership structures within the AFMS for future development.

Surg Vice Adm Arti Sarin praised the officers for their steadfast dedication and professional contributions to military medicine across various challenging situations. She highlighted their efforts in maintaining the highest standards of medical care for the Armed Forces and stressed the need for preserving institutional memory and providing mentorship for upcoming generations.
The DGAFMS extended her best wishes to the officers as they transition into the next chapter of their lives, expressing her belief that their skills and knowledge will continue to contribute positively to society beyond their military service.
